Does it work for wovens, knits, and trims — not just denim?
Yes. The name reflects where DenimNotes was born — Kingpins Amsterdam — but the OCR engine reads any hang tag: composition, weight, wash code, article number. It's been used at Première Vision for wovens, knits, and technical fabrics. If there's a hang tag, it works.
How is this different from just taking photos on my phone?
Photos are unstructured data. A folder of 200 photos from PV is unsearchable, can't be queried by AI, can't be shared with a maker as a structured brief, and doesn't link to the meeting where the fabric was discussed.
